The Capital Residence Suites General Manager Abd Rani Siteh said the hotel is working with New Edge Beaute & Fitness Centre Sdn Bhd so that hotel guests can avail of massage therapy and facial treatment services.
Abd Rani said this is in line with the hotel’s marketing strategy of providing more services to its clients.
Most of the hotel’s guests are transit travellers to Australia. He said offering day spa services will destress hotel guests who just came from a long-haul flight.
Dk Nurul Naqiyah Pg Hj Abd Rahman, manager of New Edge, said the day spa will provide a door-to-door service to hotel guests.
“We would send our therapists to the hotels for guests who want to avail of our services. But of course we are very strict with our gender policy. We will not send our woman therapist to provide treatments for male guests,” she said.
Abd Rani said the hotel is collaborating with local eateries to promote the country’s traditional cuisine especially to first-time visitors.
“If our guests want to have ambuyat, we can drive them to the Sambal House restaurant in Kiulap. Guests would get a discount but the hotel won’t be getting any commission from it because our main target is to promote Brunei’s identity to foreigners,” he said.
The Capital Residence Suites recently received its second certificate of excellence from TripAdvisor, an online travel review site. The hotel also receives high ratings from guests who posted their reviews at online travel sites like Agoda.com and Expedia.com.
